Since I left my cubicle job for a life of writing and traveling I spend my time outdoors. I know dusk in a way I haven’t known dusk since I was a child. I know mid-afternoon heat and evening thunderstorms. I know the value of being outdoors.
Brian and I have both come clean at work about our plans to travel! It wasn’t easy, but we feel great now that the cat is out of the bag. 15 more weeks!
I am constantly asked why I would give so much up to travel. The answer I give is normally inadequate at explaining the true reasons behind why. This is my attempt, in the best way I know how, to explain it.
A recap on the changes that have been happening lately. In the past six weeks we put our house on the market, sold 75% of our worldly possessions and moved into an apartment. How’s that for a busy six weeks?
Last week we put our house on the market. One day later we had a full price offer (thanks to St. Joseph). Change is coming at warp speed around here lately.
