Our rim-to-rim hike in the Grand Canyon was the event that Brian and I based our whole summer road trip around. The three-day, two-night trek from the north rim to the south rim was hard but completely worth the effort.
I thought a lot about how to describe the beautiful landscape of Arches and Canyonlands National Park. In the end I thought it best to explain through pictures.
Badlands National Park is located at the edge of the Great Plains, part of the largest undisturbed mixed-prairie rangeland remaining in the United States. The park is 244,000 acres of buttes, spires and rolling grasslands. The landscape is otherworldly.
