In April-May 2013 my husband Brian and I walked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. At the time, we were frustrated with the lack of quality information on the Internet for people who were planning on hiking the Annapurna Circuit. So we decided to fill in the gap and write a blog post called How to Hike the Annapurna Circuit.
Well, tens of thousands of pageviews later, that post has become a valuable resource for people who are planning their trek in the Annapurna region. But the post is not comprehensive. We knew when we wrote it that people would still need additional resources to completely prepare for the epic trek.
The Annapurna Circuit Hiking Guide was created.
This guide fills in the information gaps currently present on the Internet and in Brian’s epic How to Hike the Annapurna Circuit blog post. The guide gathers reader FAQ’s about permits, routes, side trails, gear, safety and sanitary concerns and much, much more. It’s a comprehensive collection of all of the information needed to hike the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. Please note that this guide does not include maps, though it does tell you where to pick up the maps you’ll need in Nepal.
