I’ve had the great fortune of traveling to many amazing countries on 5 continents all around the world. Each country has it’s unique culture and that’s one of the reasons that I love to travel: to experience how people live and love all over the world.
Of course, not everywhere in the world are people allowed to be who they are. Women are discriminated against in many places all over the world. Religious differences divide neighbors while other communities are split by class or race. In some places the elderly are treated as the central figures in their families while in others they are hidden away in retirement homes.
As a traveling observer, I find these differences fascinating. Sometimes I’m discouraged by the things I see and other times I’m encouraged by the progressive and beautiful expressions of humanity I experience out here in the world. But I have to admit that as a human I do prefer to be in places where people are allowed to be exactly who they are no matter of gender, race or sexual orientation.
That’s why I’ve been so enraptured by these Love is GREAT Britain videos that help travelers discover the best that LGBT Britain has to offer. From London to Manchester to Cardiff, these videos and articles help the LGBT traveler find everything from pride parades to gay clubs and bars. Each city guide is equipped with information that every traveler needs to know, from the nearest airport or train station to nearby hotels and local attractions.
