Great Greek Getaways

The Greek Islands. The words alone fill your mind with the feel of warm sun on your skin, the smell of the sea and coconut sun tan lotion. It’s enough to get your taste buds tingling with a longing to sample some of the famously fabulous Greek cuisine. Whether you jet off to Kos, holiday in Halkidiki or enjoy a Rhodes vacation, you’ll find all of this and more.

Regardless of where you’re staying, whatever you like to do and however tight your budget, when it comes to Greek holidays you will find a whole range of activities that are all things to everyone.

There are towns such as the well-known nightspot of Faliraki with enough dance clubs to keep you up until dawn. Then there are those famous ancient ruins and churches that breathe a history from so long ago that none of us could imagine possible, scenery to pause and gaze at, and beaches that make the perfect place to kick back and relax.

When you have finished with these, then you can move on to some more Greek delights. Such as the fabulous array of water sports, the shopping centres and their boutiques, and not of course forgetting those idyllic little restaurants, which use only the freshest produce, most of which was either caught or harvested the same day as it is being served to you.

When you have quite exhausted yourself, why not take a dip in the cool refreshing water and spend some time catching up with some ‘you’ time, either under the endless sun or in one of the many friendly bars throughout the island? Then it’s time to return to your accommodation which, regardless of the star rating or style of vacation you have taken, will have that friendly Greek welcome. With all of this ahead of you, what are you waiting for?
