Top adrenaline sports in North America

If you’re a thrill-seeker who is passionate about their adrenaline sports then there are few places in the world that are better than North America. There you can indulge your passions and find as many activities as you could possibly wish for.

Skydiving, bungee jumping and many other activities are available right across North America, with centres in many states. Parachuting in particular is very popular and if you plan to take on this type of activity, you’ll need to find a place that is affiliated with the United States Parachuting Association (USPA). Fortunately, there are many to choose from and North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia have a very high concentration of centres with first-class facilities.

Bungee jumping is a hugely popular activity and interest in this most extreme of sports has endured since it first came to notice around twenty years ago. There are many locations in North America that claim to have the highest bungee jump but most experts will say that you have to cross the border and head for Quebec. At Great Canadian Bungee in Douglastown there is a truly thrilling jump that has been rated in the world’s top five by the Discovery Channel.

Winter Sports
It’s easy to forget sometimes that North America is a paradise for winter-sports enthusiasts. This is one of the best parts of the world for skiing and other activities.

The continent has held the Winter Olympics on more than one occasion and that alone is testament to the quality of its resorts. Both Canada and the USA have consistently produced top performers in many disciplines.

Aspen in Colorado and Calgary in Canada are just two of the best places to head to, but there are many more to choose from. So for skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and more, North America is where you should go.

As with all holidays, research is important and planning ahead will save you time. Using a route planner will help you to get to your destinations quickly so that you spend less time travelling and more time enjoying your extreme activities.
